Cyber Security Check Up Time

Many things have changed in the world. Making sure you know the latest is important to business business Security and your personal overall safety.

Did you know that meeting and event planners have to know and understand many things one of them is cyber security and our security workshop is coming up therefore, I thought I'd share some security tips I've learned.

1. Have one credit card where all your on-line payments are billed to. Don't use that card for anything else. Don't link it to another accounts. This will help you know the minute a one hacks into your account.

2. Keep passwords in a safe place.

3. Unsure of someone, have to take a Taxi, Uber, Lift and your in a strange town. Photograph the car and Driver and email to a safe person. Most of the time these things are just fine. Incase your safe person has information and will act appreciately. Personal safety.

4. In Business for yourself? Make sure you have the appropriate software in your business location. Have the place inspection for anything that can carode your software or hardware. leaking roof, building electronics, entrance, security.

5. Have a safe place for all your paperwork. The important thing is that you have it backed up. If you have it backed up on memory cards or cd than make sure your computer can still operate the softwares. Otherwise you need a paper version.

That's it for my thoughts. As always personal safety matters. Like, subscribe, tell a friend. Disclaimer on contact page.

Burn Out!

Hi there,

I was looking for a new book to read. When it occurred to me, what I am experiencing when I saw a title of a book. The title was "Burn Out" . I love reading, sitting quiet and listening to music.

At that point I realized. Many people must feel the same thin. Work, family, elderly parents, neighbors,  friends, all want. Even a pizza isn't divided as much as I feel. "I'm more pieces than a pizza."  They all want a piece, money, times,  fed me, meet my needs, emotions and my business. Who takes care of me?

Here are a few coping skills I have added to my list of was to help me cope. Maybe they will help you.

  1. I am going through my phone and seeing which apps really help me be productive, which one done don't. Deleting the ones that don't. No offense to the app manufacturer it just doesn't work for me. Ex: coupon app the coupons are for buy one get one at a lower price. The truth is I'm single, I go out to eat. I either waste money going out to eat or food buying in bulk. The choice is mine to make. What is right for you isn't right for me.
  2. Music soothes even in the most difficult situations.
  3. Take time to plan what's important for the week, them  push the other things to next week.
  4. Plan time for self care. manicure, pedicure, massage, haircut, hairstyling, visit the doctor for your yearly checkup. Stay on top of what is important to you! What matters most!
  5. Knowing oneselve is important to ones mental health. No one should have mind control over you. I think it is Princess Kate who is bringing it to the attention of others how important mental health is. Reading someone mind is out. In the age of computer, one can look it up faster that another's thoughtless. Ride over.
I hope you enjoyed my "Burn Out" tip. Best of luck to you! Like, subscribe, tell a friend, read disclaimer on communication page.

Does Love Exist At Weddings?

Hi there,

I have thought a long time about this blogpost. Does love exist at weddings? When you plan weddings for a living. One gets caught up in budget, finances, decors, brides problems, groom's response, money isn't enough, what will we do next. Is this pretty enough, good looks,  Learning curve. What does venue want? What does family want? What does the bridesmaids want? What do the groomsmen want? Gifts, presents, everyone wants something from the bride. When one runs a business, a wedding business you here it all. Can I have it? The other runs a makeup business, can I have it? What about photography? Can I have it? Hair salon? Can I have it? One thinks, does love exist?

Marriages age one of the most difficult things to plan. Not due to the actual wedding the event is like all weddings. It's the details. It brings out the want, the desires, the needs, the commitment, the relationship between the couple and every thing or person they know. If it goes wrong they blame their wedding planner. If it goes right the they credit themselves.

The truth is a wedding is much bigger than the day of marriage. A wedding is like a balloon ride. Bigger than life.  Higher than we want to be, faced with all the blessings or curses you choose for ourselves along the way. Silly, thought I know. For others it might be a carnival cruise ride. Maybe, it's a roller coaster. With all the emotional ride of highs and lows. It is a test of how one gets along with people and believes in onself! No fear! Be Bold! Be Your Best Self!

Ones thoughts are questioned constantly. What is it you want? It will cost you!  The bride, the groom, the acts of marriage. Family, friends and those they meet along the way. That is one of the reasons their called Acts of God. The wedding planner is isn't responsible for the people you hire. She is responsible for the people she hires nor does she have to give you free things. However, when she is blessed with free gifts from vendors she just passes it forward. That's optional.

To answer the question: Does love excise at weddings? To answer I have to ask you; does love excise in your wedding?

2018 Goal

Hi there, Reader:

It is important to know oneself in the midst of all the luxury items I work around. Have you ever been surrounded by beautiful things, people, places and then you walk into your life and its average or below average if you are like me who has had to start over in an unexpected time.

This by no means is a complaint. I am a college graduate, a CEO of a business, entrepreneur , business woman, author and some what accomplish as others have told me. Somehow in the midst of all those accomplishments the house and home can be judged by others. You see to them my average house wasn't good enough, because they had bigger, better, more. They had more money, better cars, a life as seen on TV and I didn't choose it. I choose the place that I did.

The abundant life where more , bigger, better, is never ending. There is always someone to be better than, make more money than, compete with. The thing is I through my personal experience have found they are not any happier or less happier of those that have less and still experience the same things. Peer pressure is something all ages experience. I could of , should of , would of are all excuses. The truth is my simple quiet lifestyle I enjoy. Why?  I see the rich, I see the famous, I have seen the homeless, I have seen the hunger. I have helped, served and been helped and been served. What makes one different than the other? Attitude.

Why then would I want to write a goal and share it with you. to encourage you to continue doing your best you can. That's all we can do. I am like I said an writer, author, business woman who now has a few personal goals of her own.

  1. To be paid to speak. I plan events and ever though about selling my story until this year. I would love the opportunity to speak about what it is like to be an event planner. Maybe event talk about the importance of woman in business.
  2. Complete writing my book. "Wedding Planning Planner"(c)TM   A book to help people plan a wedding, hire the correct event planner and still succeed at being themselves.
  3. Purchase a house and make it my own.  A home to live in, succeed in being myself in.
I also have other personal goal like enjoy my life the best I can regardless of my circumstances. Continue to learn new things and leave the past in the past. Little by little improve my photography skills and post them on Instagram @Nodsish I am so trying not to be this person who just collects a following  rather I have recently tried posting a photograph where I was trying to work on different photography skills such as composition, color, angel and ask those who view it if I really caught it or not. The reason I ask is not because I want to build my ego although it is important to have good self-esteem. I ask questions to know your opinion a a follower. Like when I paint a painting, sometimes I thing I caught it painted it and then I walk away and realize it's still not there. That's how I see photography. I can always edit the photography to accomplish the goal. My goal is to take a photo I don't have to edit. Edits like in writing can change the meaning, thoughts and intention. The fun at this point is to take the photo and accept what is seen. trying to get it right the first time. I now take my camera to events, something I never use to do. I thought it a conflict of interest. Today it is most acceptable. For those photographs you can look at Instagram @MKPDE

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog. You see without goals we just are wondering in life. It doesn't matter where you are in life. You can just live aimlessly. What a goal does is give you a direction.  What direction do you want your life to go in? List one Goal you'd like to accomplish in 2018.

Like, subscribe tell a friend.   Disclaimer on communications tab. Let me know what your goal is for 2018. Lets try our best to succeed, big or small. All we can do is our best.

The Battle of Ages

Hi there,

I recently posted a tweet of a blog that talked about the children who are now young adults who where are called Millennium. They think out of the box. Trying to make a name for themselves. Money, desire and understanding escapes the realities of generations before them.

I have my opinion and and my professional magazine has there. Firsts let's discuss what the industry has addressed.

Photograph from pixel.com

1. Millennials believe that businessmen focus on their agenda rather than society.
2. They don't feel like they are being utilized correctly in the workplace.
3. They enjoy watching things on-line and don't understand why they are not invited to the event they are watching.
4. They enjoy attending an event tweeting about it and finding other was to make additional income frome corporate sponsorships.
5. They grew up with technology. Therefore they are faster, better and more trusting of it than many of their supervisors and employer.

Therefore, I believe it is perceived as a sense of self importance. Here is my personal opinion.

1. The technology change has made Millennials feel independent very early in life. Technology although important can give a person a since of unspent before they are capable of understanding the full meaning of what that means and the responsibility of it.

2. Baby Boomers as they are called were born after their parents were in war. This was a time to be cautious, have self control and plan a strategy for success. It was never handed to them and they learn not to expect it. Life was hard.

3. I believe the lack of history being taught in a way to evoke compassion in society causes gaps in understanding of different generation. Therefore, the gap between Millennials understand why Baby Boomers aren't social. Baby Boomers don't understand the need for there constant need.

This puts to question parental rights. Are you as a parent taking responsibility for your child's social. Teaching what is appropriate for the child to do on their smart phone or are you using it as a babysitter so you can get things done? Is it like the TV generation? Was to other generations?

Now we have a generation of YouTubers who feel that they have to document their next generation on YouTube. Very much like I Love Lucy! If you didn't grow up watching that TV show. It is the story of a couple starting their lives together and trying to keep up with the Jones! In this case the Mertiz's

The realty is anything you enter a workforce you will discover that you have strengthening and weekend. I assure you both generations have more in common than what you might think.

1. A deep desire to succeed.
2. The need to prove you can and will accomplish the goal to your best ability.
3. The need to win or be right.
4. The need to be respect,  be paid, and succeed.
5. The need to not be abused, discriminated against due to age, generation, color, race, creed, sex.
6. The need to be heard and understood.
7. Accepted for who they are.  Don't we all need this.

Homebased Business is Here to Stay

Hi Reader,

Did you hear it's good news when corporations are trying to copy collaborative. That's exciting for us. The people who choose to have a business that helps and severs others. We fill in when the corporation doesn't want to do things the traditional way. We also help the individual that can't deal with all they have.

Is it easy no not really. Is working 9-5 easy no not really its a life choice, people like Bill George is encouraging  companies like GE to stick with their mission statement. That's what I have been trying to encourage you to do.

According to Linkedin Daily Rundown there is an importance to the changes and life choice. The changes affecting people who have to change from one job to another. Be aware of the changes around you and. Why you choice the business you choose.  Continue on you mission even though it feels like you won't succeed. Perseverance. GE a mentor that will help you with all the detail.

What is it that is different today, than in years past? Our young adults grow up with collaborative. They have learned to work with others in groups and individually. They are taught to think independently and are taught different  type of skill set. This does include having the flexibility to change employment when their position changes. Or the task is complete.

What is the workings of a board?

Hi there,

An executive board is the inter-working for the board of directors.  normal what happens is the agenda for the board is passed amount them for approximately two weeks. After the online or paper discussion the finalized agenda is printed and given at the board meeting.  It is printed as a formality. Although we are in the era of a paperless generation this tradition continues, it is for the purpose to allow board members a place to take notes or just jot down ideas.

The board of directors is recommended that people are placed stratigeically to enrich your company. I  recommend that you look in your community's and choose wisely the people you want on the board, I would recommend members from as many fields of employment that are out in the community. That one consider people form different professions as a way to enchanted ones knowledge.

I be so bold to suggest one place a banker or other financial people to assist with the budgets and other long term financially planning. A physician to help with anything that may affect humans life, a pastor or religious person to help maintain the integrity of the goals set forward. I also suggest a husband and or wife of employees to receive that honest feedback of what it is like married to a person who is employed by your business. This is important onto only as an executive in the business , also because a happy employee is a n employee who will help you succeed,

As I personally when through my list I found it both a pleasure to interview people form other professions. This helped me understand at greater depths the mission of my company and business as also understanding my limits in y own industry.

Why Should Your Staff Meet Your Board of Directors

Hi there,

There are things about working with board of directors that I really enjoy and one of them is helping them become successful. Part of success is knowing the people you work with and how they handle new situation. Here are some things I think are important.

Staff / Board Interaction
  1. Employees should have the opportunity to visit a board meeting to listen and understand what the greater purpose of the business is,
  2. The executives within the business should have to attend the monthly board meetings, The executive board meeting should always be attending by the CEO and if he request any other executive of his choosing,
  3. At least one a year the executive staff member should attend and make a presentation before the board of directors.
  4. This allow for the staff members to grow and not only get encouraged get the support they need for their personal development and growth within the company.
  5. It will help establish a foundation on which to build personal relationships.
  6. How good is your staff. The staff can then have the yearly presentation used as part of the yearly evaluation.
As your company or business grows so will your employees. With that growth you will have employees that will be loyal to your business and those that won't. This will help you to understand and continue people to grow and help you find what " Matters Most" to them.

Board Meetings

How? Why?, When?, Where,?

Hi There,

Now you are an executive with a desire to be bigger and better. One of the first things you should have is a Board of Directors.

What is a Board of Directors?:

board of directors (B of D) is a group of individuals that are elected as, or elected to act as, representatives of the stockholders to establish corporate management related policies and to make decisions on major company issues.

Why? Should I get a Board of directors?

a.) They help you manage the business of being in business. Does that make sense?

b.) They are an inter-structual support system. The help you stay on task with your business.

c.) They help problem solve before the problem happens.

When? When do I begin this? The minute you decide you are going into business for yourself. The local SCORE has great examples of what this should look like. The BBB will help you understand how to become a a community business.

Where? Where ever you meet. Home base business can meet with their board of directors in board rooms that are for rent throughout their city. From the local library to the rent office space facility, you'll be able to find a place to meet.

Take your time, do your research and be smart about your choices. Be sure to listen to my radio station on Anchor at http://anchor.fm/Maria-Kamon-MKPDE. Not your thing, listen to my daily podcast. This week's theme business. You Tube

Hi there, Readers;

I never thought I'd say this. You Tube is now what most of you have known for years, a great way of obtaining information for the things you want to do and don't know how to. Here are some things I have used you tube for.

1. Experience information on computers and which to purchase.

2. Photography equipment, how to use and which one has the best rating from experience of an individual vs the statistical information.

3. House shopping. Although I still haven't found the one I want. I do have more knowledge now on how to go about finding one.

4. Different and creative ways to use a planner.

5. Product Research. Ways to get practical product knowledge before I purchase. This information is practical. This doesn't mean I wont.purchase the product I want because a YouTuber doesn't like it. It does mean I will have caution and hesitation when purchasing it.

6. Budgeting To learn what personal budget app works best. Which one tells all the secrets.

Yes, it's true. This isn't the typical blog for business, it is one that is true. YouTube is a business and making many young people experience a different type of employment and I can't wait to see what they grow into. As they mature.

The Thrill of Business

Hi there: Reader;

I awoke asking myself what I enjoy about business. What is the thrill? It made me think of other things I could be doing and music made about thrill. The Micheal Jackson music came to mind. Thriller.

I have to say,  it's difficult to believe how much time has passed.

Maybe it was his creativeness. The innocence of his youth. He was an amazing artist. He was an amazing actor/dancer. I love the fact that actors can act things out and not become it. What does this have to do with business? Well it's this. Once the innocent being is gone, then what?

The Jackson ran a business. The business they run is
/ was themselves. The Jackson's each with their own name. I believe there is a point in business when the spirit of the person gets shut down, and you have to follow the rules of the law. When the spirit can no longer go in places that are not for them.

How does one know the difference? Micheal Jackson knew. He knew people wanted from him things he didn't have to give or want to give. It wasn't who he really was. It was what was expected of him.

1. Business takes a look at what their mission is once a year and plans accordingly.

2. Evaluate, where you are and where going with what your doing.

3. Make appropriate changes to your Mission Statement.

4. Gather employees and explain the changes, some of them might not want to be with you on your new journey. Maybe, there believe system won't allow them too. Accept it and let it go. Wish them good things and Let God! What is the new thing evoke "Joy" .

Every Planner Has A Planner

Hi there, Reader;

I am caught in the whirl of planner this plan that and planner people who say use my product. They send me products constantly to try out.  How creative can a planner be? We are as creative as our planner. I laughed as I say that because within the planner community there is an endless verity of planners. That's not including all the apps that will also plan and organize your life.

I did want to wish this planner a Happy 19th Birthday! Do you journal in your planner? Yes! Do you keep track of your appointments in your planner? Yes! Do you keep important information,.such as daily things to do, organization, personal information, pass codes, credit card numbers, doctors, family, friends phone numbers? Yes! Take a look at the Hobonichi planner and see if it fits your needs.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the ease of customizing this planner to suit my personal and business needs. It has the flexibility ,so on the days where I might not have words to express myself I can easily create a sketch or small drawing. On the days where I am filled with appointments or meetings I can just use it as journal entry. The flexibility is perfect for the needs of students to needs of professionals and everything in between. Are you a busy mom? Yes! Are you the artistic type who needs to just have a place to put your creative thoughts? Yes! Then this might just be the planner for you! Let's make a toast 🍶 to Hobonichi: May you have many years, may your days be long and your inspiration be filled with the joys of such a great product.

Apple 8 I'm so excited for this phone!

Hi there, Readers;

I'm not sure what to say. Have I sold out? I have to ask myself. The cost of a new phone every year is over the top, so I have been rotating between my business, don't mess with me phone and first love BlackBerry and iPhone. SUDDENLY AFTER CARRYING TWO PHONES AROUND FOR YEARS APPLE decides to "listen to the people". I say this half jokingly as I read they were doubling on security. What a thought. Why would they have two securities? Then this came out!

Look at this baby! They are allowing two Internet systems. For those who love cars this looks like chrome baby! For the rest of us who have to be able to use both systems at work, this looks like a possible solutions. To the I have to use this system at work, however I like this system at home what a great solution. How will this affect highly respected Blackberry? Will they allow us to safari? Game on, BlackBerry, we know you love business competition. Your phones have always provided a great service and compatability with some business. Is Apple stepping on your toes? Can't wait to see your solution. Apple recognized for their knowledge in schools and business intelligence. Your making the competition strong for compidaditors.

Could they have really come up with a solution to the split lifestyle of what I want vs what I have to have. We will see next year when Apple 8 come out. The truth is the we will have have ate.

Tips In Planning A Green Event

"Photo altered to look " Green"
Hi there, Reader;

After planning green Events I learned a thing or two. One is that not everyone knows what a green event is. A green event is when the client chooses to not waste material. Trash is recycled and guest are asked to grow things away in appreciate containers.

Green Events are defined as: Green marketing consists of marketing products and services based on environmental factors or awareness. Companies involved in green marketing make decisions relating to the entire process of the company's products, such as methods of processing, packaging and distribution.

1. The event can be formal or informal.

2. Two proper arrangements are made for the recycling.

3. Since the business is marketing to be a "green company" it means that they try not to let things go to waste. It's affect on the world is a statement her business.

4. Those in attendance should know what the company or business is doing with its
  • extra food
  • paper waste
  • trash
  • placesetting and tableware
Some places (cites) require that all trash be removed from venue after the event and therefore  arrangements ave to be made. This include trash pick up and recyclables. This is why people associate with Green Events with recyclables. The truth it is greater than this, it is normally part of the mission statement also known as business plan. It is a position of who they (business) is in the world. What the company stands for these items.

Cherry Blossoms

Hi there, Reader;

I flew to Japan when I was very young and fell in love with how they treated their children. Cherry Blossom a beloved tree a symptom Even when I was very young I knew that there was something that they had that I wanted. I covet this family that owned the local pharmacy until they adopted me into there family.

I would enter their store and share my ice breakers With them and exchange stories. I saved my money just so I could go into their store to purchase a bic pen until I learned something new. I think for all those years I must of become a little Japanese. I think I'm turning Japanese was one of the funniest songs ever written.

Later, as time went on, business life took over and from running summer camps to planning Meetings I have had the pleasure of being a little Japanese.

The one thing I learned and fell in love with is organization.

1 . They respect Education.

2. They are will organized. In spirit and in truth.

3. They, and I say this with the most respected possible. They is such a general term, because there is individuality within families. They are believers in marriage and family. The good that it brings.

4. I enjoy the business respect they have for one another. A well ruined time effect meeting is highly respected. I to must agree with that thought. As I matured in business and had more responsibilities. I came to an understanding of that thought. Mindset. It is more pleasurable to separate business from social.

5. I enjoy that when your in business mode, there is no talking about personal or social. Your there to get a task done. These things usually take place after the meeting or courteous reminders at the bringing of the meeting.

Once a Cherry Blossom always a Cherry Blossom.

The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short.

Please read the disclaimer in the contact form. Also thank you to the Japanese Friendship Garden for allowing Maria Kamon©™ Photography to photograph the cherry blossom in bloom 2017 season.

I hope you will join us for the photo competition or contest @Nodsish or #Nodsish  on Intagram.com and win a Cannon Pixma wireless, print, copy, scan. Contest will run until April 1, 2017.

Thank you for reading this blog. I hope you'll subscribe. Please leave comments or email them to MK Pure Diamond Events.

Knowing Your Playing Field

Hi there, Reader;

Have you ever been awaken in the middle of the night with everyone problems from work? The person is doing this person, Betty is having money issues, and Sally has teens who are giving her problems, Art is just looking up all the girls dresses. And your worried you'll be unemployed. (Read Unemployment Blog), why because you know your boss is cheating on his wife. You and her are good friends you want to tell her but you can't. What do you do?

The truth is there is no easy answer to these questions. However, there are some suggestions I can make from my own personal experience. These are moral and judgements question. Depending on how conservative you are, will determine how you will react.

1. Know for yourself, where you stand on personal issues of others. Do you believe in gossips? Do you gossip? Do you listen to gossip? What is your responsibility in the gossip chain?

2. It's a fine line between showing some one you care and taking on their personal problems. Know where you stand.

3. There is no easy answers for the woman who know the executive is having an affair. If you tell someone then your out. If you keep it to yourself at work then your more than likely to be respected. If your the one in the affair, then get out. Either way, when others find out it won't be worth staying. The truth is many of us search for other employment at that point. One has to judge for oneself.

4. Looking at the photograph above What do you see? Is every Flower beautiful? What does each one do? Are they all equal? It's like the workplace each person has different abilities, strengths, weekeness, powers, abilities. In this mess of people the employees responsibility is to a.) The business paying your paycheck?
b.) To yourself?

In conclusion, I always see the workplace as a place where your loyalty will be tested. Are you the type of person who will stick with their job in the days ahead even in trouble times or will you choose yourself. I always found in choosing myself I was able to be true th the company or corporation.

Happy Valentines Apple

Hi there, Readers:

I am so excited about what apple is doing this Valentine season. If you haven't gotten the latest then by all means stop by and see it's Pink. They high regard of woman and woman in the workplace is empowering to all of us. Apple has made our live so much easier. Those of us who have to balance, life for many people not just ourselves.

I confess when I first got back into the workplace it was still on blackberries. I love using my blackberry however, understand this I had to go get my personal Apple updated and discovered how well the two work together. Pink...pink is the season of Valentine's and this season with pink flying everywhere Apple has come up with the cutest Valentine line yet.  If you haven't seen it you should stop by the apple store to see it.

This is the latest review I could find on you tube. I think is speaks volumes on the latest and greatest.

Here is what I learned about using both apple and pc at work.

1. They both have different things to offer.
2. Not all venues offered IOS availability when plugging in equipment. This has changed for the most part. With venues being updated, however you still need to check.
3. Both computer technology doesn't like heat. When it is warm to the touch then something is going wrong.
4. I really appreciate when computer companies work together to come up with solutions for the workplace and making it more productive.
5. Not all event clients are true to one brand. Therefore, event planners need to be educated on both. I have had to present a presentation where they didn't have the ability on one computer and have had to transfer the information to the other computer.
6. All computer companies and businesses are in business to make a profit for themselves not other people. Unless they pay you (money or product) they are in it for themselves. That is what business is. Don't fool yourself. Apple has to keep coming out with something better or they will loose. No sense in worrying about what is next.
7. Unless you have a method of relieving the payment then what does it matter?

Stretegic Meeting Planning

Hi there, Reader:

I was just at an MPI meeting, for those of you who don't know what MPI is the acronyms stand for Meeting Professionals International. It is an organization, that empowers professionals to be the Tbest they can.

As I thought about what to write today for this blog, I thought about how we run meetings and how on thee news it's all about the meetings of the President. What he is going to do in the first 100 days of office.

The first thing you must know is that he has a  plan a goal for what he hopes to accomplish. The second thing I would think he has is a time limit on how long the meeting will last and how much time before the action will happen. The third thing he must have is the cost. A budget.

A strategic meeting is always planned and always has a purpose before entering the meeting date. Here is my suggestions for a successful business meeting.

  1. Have a goal clearly written. Not only the goal of the meeting, also the goal of what you are discussing.
  2. Have a timeline in mind. I know it's great to have it on our smart phones, tablets and computers, however as humans we have to use as many senescence as we can, therefore I suggest you have it also printed on a calendar.
  3. Have the time written in a place of importance what time the meeting will begin and end. A five (5) minute grace period is acceptable other than that you need to start and finish at the times spoken, planned. Also have it known what is the goal of the project to be implemented.
  4. Respect people and they will respect you back. Finish the meeting on time.
  5. Let everyone know when the next meeting will be and the goals to be accomplished before leaving.

Snickers Addiction

Hi there, Reader:

Workplace Addictions...I was in college when the professor made up find a person we could spend a year with working together to study, and work with in the lab. The young lady next to me was as thrilled as I was. When a professor starts the first day with this is going to be a really hard year, no one is thrilled. It was a required class and the only one that fit into our schedule.

It is very difficult to bring grown adults together to work along side each other, expecting them to get along, like each other and respect each others space. The professor gave us five (5) minutes. to introduce and get each others phone number, decide time, place we were going to meet. Luckily, my study partner and I had one common afternoon break.

Once a week we would meet to go over the notes, help each other study. We both found the class boring and it took us a great deal of study time. It started with one hour a week and before finals it was twice a week for three hours. We both got a "b" in the class which meant we were pretty good working team. The room filled with 100 students by the end of the semester the class ended with less than thirty students. I give credit to our "Snickers Addiction" for getting us through the study times.
Snicker Addiction is it Really a Fun Size?
For some reason and I don't remember why we would both purchase a Snickers and a diet drink. Don't ask me what type of drink I don't know. We were both married and just trying to get our diploma for the purpose of a better employment and paycheck.  The first time it happened it was a humorous moment. This humors moment got us talking and laughter got us through a painful year of class. It was also our lunch half the time or afternoon snack. The point is we used it as a point of humor.

In the workplace, having people get along and work together is different than at church. Church you volunteer. They may or may not have a job discrimination work you are expected to have a job discrimination and are expected to have attended training, At the training they read you all the expectations the company has for you and you have to sign the job description saying you will do the work or be written up for it.

Work place addiction does it excised? We read articles about the the importance of the http://www.snickers.com/workaholic. The individual that works too many hours. Now what is the difference between an addiction, a habit, a item that bring humor to a relationship where people have to be in rather than choose to be in.

Addiction defined: Addiction is a state defined by compulsive engagement in naturally rewarding behavior or compulsive drug use, despite adverse consequences;[4] it can be thought of as a disease or biological process leading to such behaviors.[6]
According to many addiction specialists, potential non-drug addictions can include, but are not limited to,exercise addictionfood addictioncomputer addiction and gambling. Currently, only substance addictions and gambling addiction are recognized by the DSM-5ΔFosB, a gene transcription factor, is now known to be a critical component and common factor in the development of virtually all forms of behavioral and drug addictions.[7][8][9] Classic hallmarks of addiction include impaired control over substances or behavior, preoccupation with substance or behavior, continued use despite consequences, and denial.[10] Habits and patterns associated with addiction are typically characterized by immediate gratification (short-term reward), coupled with delayed deleterious effects (long-term costs).[11]
Physiological dependence occurs when the body has to adjust to the substance by incorporating the substance into its "normal" functioning.[12] This state creates the conditions of tolerance and withdrawal. Tolerance is the process by which the body continually adapts to the substance and requires increasingly larger amounts to achieve the original effects. Withdrawal refers to physical and psychological symptoms experienced when reducing or discontinuing a substance that the body has become dependent on. Symptoms of withdrawal generally include but are not limited to anxietyirritability, intense cravings for the substance, nauseahallucinationsheadaches, cold sweats, and tremors.
Habit: A habit (or wont) is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur unconsciously.[1][2][3] In the American Journal of Psychology (1903) it is defined in this way: "A habit, from the standpoint of psychology, is a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience."[4] Habitual behavior often goes unnoticed in persons exhibiting it, because a person does not need to engage in self-analysis when undertaking routine tasks. Habits are sometimes compulsory.[3][5] The process by which new behaviours become automatic is habit formation. Old habits are hard to break and new habits are hard to form because the behavioural patterns we repeat are imprinted in our neural pathways,[6] but it is possible to form new habits through repetition.[7]
As behaviors are repeated in a consistent context, there is an incremental increase in the link between the context and the action. This increases the automaticity of the behavior in that context.[8] Features of an automatic behavior are all or some of: efficiency, lack of awareness, unintentionality, uncontrollability.[9]
HumorHumour or humor (see spelling differences) is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. The term derives from the humoral medicine of the ancient Greeks, which taught that the balance of fluids in the human body, known as humours (Latin: humor, "body fluid"), controlled human health and emotion.
People of all ages and cultures respond to humour. Most people are able to experience humour—i.e., to be amused, to smile or laugh at something funny—and thus are considered to have a sense of humour. The hypothetical person lacking a sense of humour would likely find the behaviour induced by humour to be inexplicable, strange, or even irrational. Though ultimately decided by personal taste, the extent to which a person finds something humorous depends on a host of variables, including geographical locationculturematurity, level of educationintelligence and context. For example, young children may favour slapstick such as Punch and Judy puppet shows or cartoons such as Tom and Jerry, whose purely physical nature makes it more accessible to them. By contrast, more sophisticated forms of humour such as satire require an understanding of its social meaning and context, and thus tend to appeal to more mature audiences.
It is amazing when I am setting an event and all the workers are their laboring for the client, the customer, the friend I have made after months of serving them, planning their event humor is what gets me through. I have labored until my feet blister and bled. Sometimes you can predict all the things that will happen. Sometimes, you and the client plan every thing perfectly the event is beautiful and the culture of the guest just don't go along with the plans set. I have watch clients become completely full of grace, when their guest didn't like the entertain they hired or the speech made. I have seen clients/customers get angry and yell at each other. I have witness couples that have such a fun time at their wedding reception they forget who they are and get their guest to enjoy them selves and when party crashes come it they welcome them with full grace. I have also witnessed the opposite. How humbled one feels when as the event planner you ask the guest if they would want the party crushers escorted out and they answer no, they are now my guest. Feed them and make sure they enjoy their evening.
I thank God that in this business you get to meet people as gracious as I imagine "Him" to be. I also thank Him, knowing that their are those that just miss the moment looking for the prize, when the prize is all around them. They are the people that make you who you are, who got you to this moment and time. They are your blessings. Maybe, we should look at the workplace as a blessing. The co-workers as "His" blessings in your life. The good, the not so good, the sad moments, the alone moments, the love, the dislikes, are all what you were created to experience at the moment. Like or not.
