Lemonade
Don't you love it when you wake up in the morning and read something that you enjoy reading. That you can apply to your life. What can I do different in business, in life to make my life better. Normally I would tell you attend your local church, now I know that sounds silly or ridiculous and not related to work, the truth is when I became saved I began to see business in a different way. The Billy Graham Association has wonderful steps you can take for salvation!
Now you are wondering why would I start this blog with the titled it Lemonade. The one thing this organization taught me, is true salvation exist. Reading this morning business "Peak Performance" by Tony Robins reminded me of my own thoughts about "Lemonade". Why do I have the lemonade song on my website? Is it attracting sales or sending them away?
Here are quotes from what I read:
"Master skill managing promises. Always follow through on any promises. Always follow through on any promise to add value.
When a someone makes a request, you have five choices of action:
1. Accept it and act on it. Make a promise and deliver it or on time.
2. Ask for clarity. On content or timeline.
3. Negotiate/Make a counter-proposal.
4. Reject it.
5. Never ignore it. The breaks the value chain and burns the client, the company and your teammates. "
Value, Character, Respect all of those are important in life and to me the Lemonade song on the website explains allot. It is the relationship people have with one another. I can talk about the business of love, however until you know it, experience it, respect it will, will you not come to understand it. Love is the most difficult thing you can experience in life and the greatest blessing. The word teachings both. The blessings and the responsibility. I am not pushing my beliefs on you, nor do I want to force you to believe what I believe. What I believe is that in life, we are given a bunch of lemons. We can make lemonade with them, or just let them rot.
The truth is my love for what I do in life gets me through all those lemon moments in life. Lemons come in many forms in event planning. It can be cake form. It can be in tea. Now beverages come in all forms of lemon added. It can be in making a difficult events into something beautiful. It can be helping a couple, person, business, plan an event within their budget. It can be designing an over the top budget for someone who money is no object. It is making the best out of a situation. And having the belief that it will all be as God planned it. Having the integrity to take the punches life has given you, and the dignity to not hit back to see what God will do with it.
What is your lemon in life?

Wedding Colors

As you can see blue and pink make beautiful boutiques with Hortensia. The Pom Pom create a fullness to the boutique. Roses gentle as can be are added, beware, they do have thorns.

This boutique is for the more tropical minded bride. Still keeping the pink and blue theme but it has stars and orchids. The beauty speakers for itself.

Perfection! I love how cheery blossoms look against the blue sky. One of my favorite flowers and I love how my Japanese florist arranges them.

1980's Weddings
FACTS about this decade. Population: 226,546,000 Unemployed in 1980: National Debt: 1980 - $914,000,000,000 National Debt: 1986 - $2,000,000,000,000 Average salary: $15,757 Life Expectancy: Male 69.9 Female 77.6 Minimum Wage: $3.10 BMW was $12,000; Mercedes 280 E was $14,800 Attendance: Movies 20 million/week Daily 100 - Interactive quotes from the 80s |
The 1980s became the Me! Me! Me! generation of status seekers. During the 1980s, hostile takeovers, leveraged buyouts, and mega-mergers spawned a new breed of billionaire. Donald Trump, Leona Helmsley, and Ivan Boesky iconed the meteoric rise and fall of the rich and famous. If you've got it, flaunt it and You can have it all! were watchwords. Forbes' list of 400 richest people became more important than its 500 largest companies. Binge buying and credit became a way of life and 'Shop Til you Drop' was the watchword. Labels were everything, even (or especially) for our children. Tom Wolfe dubbed the baby-boomers as the 'splurge generation.' Video games, aerobics, minivans, camcorders, and talk shows became part of our lives. The decade began with double-digit inflation, Reagan declared a war on drugs, Kermit didn't find it easy to be green, hospital costs rose, we lost many, many of our finest talents to AIDS which before the decade ended spread to black and Hispanic women, and unemployment rose. On the bright side, the US Constitution had its 200th birthday, Gone with the Wind turned 50, ET phoned home, and in 1989 Americans gave $115,000,000,000 to charity. And, Internationally, at the very end of the decade the Berlin Wall was removed - making great changes for the decade to come! At the turn of the decade, many were happy to leave the spendthrift 80s for the 90s, although some thought the eighties TOTALLY AWESOME.
The 1980's the generation known for "Me" was about themselves? Not believing that this was in tiredly true.
