As many of you know I cummute from San Diego to Riverside County a lot. My elderly mom and her husband need help and my child who use to help me with my business while my other child is in school. Is in heaven. It's not easy being who I am. However, I am great full for God's provision in my life. I live in two places while trying to support myself financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually. You know how it can be. Your in a crowd of people yet you feel alone. That's part of the natural feeling of loss, so is the choice of isolation. I'll get through. I have to. I have a future and hope.
Back to this place I discovered. It is between both places and the food, shops and people are worth a stop.
Looking at the sign doesn't say much about the food. Everyone I know enjoys good food. If you follow my blog, you would know that I always share I am a MADD mom, which basically means a family member has died alcoholism. I always add to be careful. don't drink and drive.
The Citris City Grill was getting ready for their dinner crowd. I was pleased I could have sat anywhere in their restaurant. Unusual offer since most restaurants only have sections of their restaurant open when it's not happy hour and it's not dinner hour. They have three sections. Bar area, dinning room and a patio area. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. I choose to sit outside. It gets hot in the city of Corrona. The hottest I'm told is 108 degrees. Not sure how cold the winters are.
I wish I would have taken a picture of the hummus I ordered as an appetizer. It was so delicious my mouth still waters just thinking about it. The beef dip that's what I call it, was tender, tasty, testimonial. If you like horseradish that is creamy and smooth a blend of taste with little burn you'll like this one. It was served with crispy fries. They crunch when you bight into them with greesy feel or taste. Yum!
Now here is why I wrote that is am MADD mom. It doesn't mean I don't have or taste an occasional alcoholic beverage. I found their alcoholic beverages to have such a variety that you might end up drinking more than one should. I tried a pineapple martini. It was surprisingly delicious. The view from the patio is of the lake that is called Dos Logos. Sitting under the green umbrellas you can relax and enjoy. However, they do have lounge sitting areas, living room style where you can watch TV if your that type of person. Personally when I dine out, I'd rather enjoy the moment than watch tv. I'm not much on TV. That's true about when I'm home as well.
Here I am under the green umbrella with the breeze blowing my hair, while trying to take this photograph and smile. not an easy task. The Smile that is. Just joking. You can see the patio seatting, the "rib rust tunnel" that's what I call it that sits between both lakes. "Dos Logos".
Hope you'll try this place, then write me and tell me if it was worth the drive.
