Wedding MBA 2017

Wedding MBA 2017

It's almost time for this years Wedding MBA from the sound of what I have been reading they changed things up a little.

The two main speakers are David Tutera, I know I have seen some his place settings at Macy's for sale. He is a Celebrity Planner. That you'll prove to been interesting talks to listen too. However, this is true about any main speaker that the Wedding MBA brings into town to education professional wedding planners. From what I read one of the things he will be dishing on is his own wedding. Hum... Will he be talking about the Joey Toth his newlywed? Maybe he will stick to the facts of what it was like planning his Old Hollywood Themed Ceremony "Love is Love". Who doesn't like old Hollywood ? The glamour, romance and the staging is to make any planner wish they we planning weddings in an era that was so glamorous . It should be worth the time to effort to attend just to hear his story and applying it to your own business.

The other speaker George Zimmer on the subject of "Keeping Your Wedding Business New." a subject that is always on the minds of wedding planners. After one plans so many weddings one has to think that each person is an individual and therefore deserves the attention as if it was the first wedding you plan. Founder of the Men's Wearhouse and one of my favorite place to send young men to by a suit or tuxcedo. Why? One and first is the way they fit the suits and tuxedos on men. They take something that is uncomfortable for a young man and make it comfortable. Many of the men I have sent to get a fitting for their first day. It is the first time they have to wear a suit or tuxcedo. Secondly, pricing, there pricing can't be beat. How does retail relate to weddings?

Other topics:
  • Say Yes To The Dress (Faster)
  • Bridal Gown BluePrint
  • Love At First Sight
  • Midnight Madness
  • Avant-Garde
  • Gown Shop Face Off
  • Dress Up Your SEO
  • Want Not Wear Not
Then they have several parties planned. I have to tell you. From reading the program and invitation it more geared towards the retailer than the planner.

My recommendation is that before you sign up make sure what your signing up for.

I did enjoy the training and certification I received during the conference I attended. However, the topics were geared towards the planner not the retailer. Please call the Wedding MBA and find out their intention. That's the best advice I could share with another industry professional.
