There are some questions that you should ask yourself before you decide to plan your own event.  Whether you are in business yourself or just planning your own wedding consider this.

1.  How much time do I have to devote myself to planning this event?
2.  What resources do I have?
3.  What is my budget?
4.  What do I know about contracts?
5.  How much do I want to please others?
6.  What is my purpose for this event?
7.  If I plan, organize, produce this event how much time will I have to enjoy it?
8.  Is planning this event going to be self satisfying?
9.  What compliments am I looking for?
10. How will I feel if someone doesn't like the event I just produced?
11. What happens if things do go as I planned?
12.  Am I willing to take the responsibility?
13.  What staff do I have?
14.  Will I ask family, friends, others to volunteer their time?
15.  What will they expect of me in return?

Meeting Planning, Wedding Planning, Event Planning is a profession that has been around for since man has lived on earth. Technically, you could say it started before then, but it isn't a very practical approach to planning your current event.  The purpose of hiring professional is to not only help you with the decision making process but to also back you.  They help you carry all the burdens of the day.  They help you with the things none of your guest should know about.

It's funny, when I get asked "Why should I pay you?" I always tell my clients it's up to you if you want to enjoy your day or not.  Thought the planning stages and during the event professionals answer all the questions all the people you will be employing.  They assist your event in being flawless.  Even when there are problems. The goal of the profession is to make it appear as though there are none.  When you are planning the event you not only have to plan the event you have to decided and make sure the details go as you planned.
