Hi there's, Reader;
Don't you remember when you were a child and you owned a train set. You sang all types of songs. From I've been working on the rail road to Thomas ... Do you remember how you felt when it would fall off the tracks. The sadness, the tears? That's how your mom felt too. Until you were old enough to figure out, fix it and start doing what was right for you. Those years are a moment in time she won't ever forget. Why? You experienced frustration together. you experienced it again until you understood. She experienced once, she was older and knew how to fix the problem.
When your in business as an adult it's much the same thing. You fall off track, trying to do what is right. For your business and your client and your employee. Your contract states what your obligations are. However, because in the event business there is always an "Act of God" clause that state there are things that happen that are not in the control of the event planner. What happens then?
1. When a false person enters the bed. You beat it and when. Sereiously, what I am trying to explain, is that it is illegal for another business to enter unless it is contacted so. No one can speak for another business except the business representing itself.
2. Contract law has certain rights that no other party can enter into. With the exception of the two parties who's names are on the agreement.
3. Most things are written in the contract, however, "Acts of God" are circumstances that no one thought of. No one expected. It could mean the weather, or a human acting in an inappropriate manner.
4. What a business has to do is have and conduct the agreement between the two parties the best they can. Get focused on your responsibility to as a contractor.
5. Conduct your business the best possible. The rest falls on attorneys. Who broke what laws? It could be the cities fault, the venues fault or the family that contracted with you. If they tried to enter the bed with you for their own selfish reason, an negated you other clients then you have the right to compinsation.
6. Stay focused on what your business is about. Your the business of what the client in bed wants. Not the the persons personal need. That's what event business is about. Contracting to meet the needs of the clients event.
Summarizing how to stay on track.
a. Know your contract.
b. Know, understand, act within your contract.
c. Act within your ability and obligation.
d. No one has the right to steal another's business not even by faith. The client can be and will be held responsible.
e. Stick with you mission statement and your personal mission statement.
