Bonita Wedding Faire

Hi there, Readers:

I thought I would share with you one of the bridal faires I attending this year. 2017 is full of exciting things for brides in San Diego County. Honestly, this the first one I attend this year. 2017 has proven to be an interesting year. Since the death of my son Dustin Kamon; November 2014; I have been slowly trying to figure out how to put my life back together, I have now come to realize, I will never put my life back together. To have a child die before the parent is a tragic thing. To have to live daily life knowing that he was the one holding you together and now that glue so to speak is missing is even more sadness. I hoped that I would be planning a wedding for him this year that is why I stopped visiting venues it all reminds me of the hopes I had for my own family. This one is a shout out to all my Bonita friends. I use to be employed by the YMCA in the neighborhood many years ago. I was their meeting and event planner I believe it was called a Membership and Marketing Director.  I was bless to plan meeting and events for, as well as golf tournaments and Galas. San Diego has some of the best places for events planning services, such as MK Pure Diamond Events, call if you would like us to plan an event for your business, a wedding for you as a couple or an event. Anyway, so much about my life, lets plan your wedding and talk about all the fabulous assistance you can have at the Chula Vista Golf Course.

First of all let me tell you the photographs were taken by Maria Kamon(c)Tm Photography for the purpose of using it for this blog. I am not paid by Chula Vista Golf Course or its participants. Please see the full disclosure at the end of this blog. The "Vlog" for this page should be posted on Thursday. Therefore, if you are reading this and want to see the "Vlog" please visit my YouTube channel or this blog on Thursday. I"m not sure the exact date. Editing was Dustin Kamon's gift and what he went to school to learn, I Maria Kamon(c)TM am new to this editing part of vlogging. Most of the time I just use an app. Thanks for your patience.

I met some really wonderful people. Chula Vista Golf course has some of the kindest people employed there.  Rebecca Del Toro, Private Events Sales Director is your contact person for this venue and she has her preferred vendors she likes to work with. The photo's for the venue will be posted on Thursday, with the vlog. They need to be edited. I also have to share with you I wasn't able to take photographs of the wedding location due to light rain, so they didn't have it set up.

Chula Vista wedding ceremony can accommodate 225 people. For pricing please contact Rebecca.

Ceremony includes:
  • white folding chairs
  • ceremony rehearsal prior to wedding day
  • photos on the green
  • foothill view of San Miguel Mountains
  • choose of outdoor or indoor location
There is a room, just off the small reception room that holds eighty people which can be used for a Cocktail Room or Bridal Suite area. This area is offered when one chooses to have the reception at the county club building for lack of a better word. The reception area is divided into two reception areas. I beleive and don't quote me on this the larger room holds a hundred and fifteen people. Therefore, you can seat 195 people, however the rooms are divided and do not have a walk through hall unless you walk by the front entrance. I do see this as a downfall for the venue. If it is a large wedding, the guest will not all be in the same room as the bride and groom. The PA system does work on both rooms and can be heard for dancing and announcement.

The pricing is per plate and at the time of visiting the prices are reasonable for what they will be serving. Again I am not trying to sell you their venue. The plated dinners run from $40-60. Remember add your cost of tip to the pricing. I am not sure if it is included for staff. The venue does have bar service with an additional cost. Speak with Rebbecca for details.

On the extra, ehancements and upgrades. You can purchase for a price:
  • Extra Hour
  • Charger Platess
  • Specialty Linens
  • Chiavari Chairs
  • Chandalier
  • Uplights and Draping
  • 8 up lights
  • All Window Draping, Entrance & Sweetheart Table
Please see Rebecca del Toro for pricing.

Let's talk about the additional extra services offered to brides for their day.

Bed  Bath and Beyond was offering Bridal Registry services. I believe I have a photograph of the awesome ladies representing this company that is on every brides must have list, however I will have to edit it from the video.

Red Ribbon: The new braless look for any bride who is wearing a strapless dress. They have to be fitting like a bra however they offer protection like under armor. I have to admit, I was intrigued by this thought, that it would help the bride stay order-less for her wedding day. I know how much I perspire when I work out and I know that brides are under the microscope perspire. They sell both outter wear as well as inner wear. The contact person for this is Nijkki Afetian @ BralessinSanDiego@gmail.com

There is a customizeable package for brides that are worth looking into. The following items can be purchased.
  • One hour Full Body Massage
  • Manicure and Pedicure
  • One Hour Classic Eropean Facial
  • Weigh Loss / Stop Smoking Hypnotheraphy
  • Medical Spa Services / Laser Treatment
  •  Designer Hair cut and Highlights
  • One Month of Unlimited Tanning
  • One Microdermaraion Session
  • One Hour Acupunture Session
  • Chiropractic Car
  • Lasik Consultation
  • 2 weeks of Yoga
There is a healthy living expo you can attend in the Del Mar Fairgrounds on April 8-9. Exhibit Hall.

OMG did this food look good. Didn't get the chance to taste it. However you can contact San Diego Candy Buffets for the catering.

The amazing sound of Michael Cabradilla. Please see above for contact information.

There are other vendors I will post on Thursday. Finger Nails, Hair and makeup, honestly I just forgot to pick up their brochures other wise I would have taken a photograph of their brochure and posted it here.  I will edit it from my video and post it on Thursday.

If you are interested in Meeting and Event Planning Services please contact MK Pure Diamond Events. Please be sure to read the disclosure on the contact page of this blog. MKPDE does not represent any of the vendors listed above. I am not being paid by them. However, I do offer this as an educational service for any bride who is thinking of purchasing MK Pure Diamond Events Meeting and Event Planning Services.

If you have any other suggestions you would like me to blog or vlog about. San Diego, weddings, meetings, or events please email Maria Kamon (c) TM your suggestions at mkpurediamondevents@gmail.com
