The end of World War II brought thousands of young servicemen back to America to pick up their lives and start new families in new homes with new jobs. With an energy never before experienced, American industry expanded to meet peacetime needs. Americans began buying goods not available during the war, which created corporate expansion and jobs.  Growth everywhere.  The baby boom was underway...

It was thought of as an age were we seemed after God's will nas a Nation, our servicemen were back and home.  The baby boomer generation.
Props were accepted  in weddings.  Creativeness acceptable to a higher degree.
People were making their own dresses, more importantly we had pattern making. The ability to create who you wanted to be was getting better for mothers.
Woman learned things, they didn't know as they watched the nations happenings on TV.
"Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" pink was a color often chosen for Weddings.

Woman helped woman, we also helped men the hope that God brings, knowing that no matter what they battled at home there was a mome for them. Although this is the hope of marriage the reality is divorced also entered the reality of era.

Music played a big part of the healing. LP's played the latest music. Couples allowed others to rejoice in their joy by just placing the record or song on the tables.
Travel was more fun, with the introduction of the RV. Photographers can plan a fun part how they compose your wedding photos.

Weddings today can include all these types of items to create the feeling and look of the era.
Bride dresses were no longer long, it was the brides choice.

Decor was every element the brides wants it to be in.
A fun magazine to look at is "Look Magazine". It goves you ideas of what the times were like.  One of my favorite things to do for my clients is help them find products, props of the era .  Some choose to buy things they can later use in their home, others, choose touts rent them.
